CANON — Until Dawn —

Canon: Until Dawn is a wordless animated film set to Pachelbel's Canon in D. A cello repeats an eight-note bass line, shown as eight stone monoliths that light up in turn. Three violins play the same melody, each starting two bars after the one before; they appear as gold, ice-blue and rose spirits of light, and each follower flies exactly the path of the one ahead. Over one night they rise from a dark sea through a storm, weave a tower of light above the clouds, ignite it in space and fall back as stars, until the three merge into the rising sun.
